Franjo Horvat

Franjo Horvat was born on 22nd May 1959 in Varaždin, Croatia. I finished the School of Applied Arts in Zagreb, orientation: painting. I have held over 36 independent exhibitions in Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and Germany. I took up painting at an early age and I live on it. I work in all techniques, but mostly oil on canvas. The paintings (oil on canvas) usually depict and represent the landscapes of my region, the Adriatic Sea and surreal motives.
