Dear friends of the dance art, pedagogues, dance masters, choreographers and theatre dance experimental groups,

we would like to invite you with a great pleasure to participate of the X. Edition of the international dance festival NEW PRAGUE DANCE FESTIVAL 2006, which is a major and unique proof of the fact that every zdar the dance lovers from all over the world meet in the golden capital and cultural centre par excellence: PRAGUE.

Participants: YOU and DANCE – classic, contemporary, jazz, folk; choreography and all forms of performance concerning the dance art.

Participants will be able to use a theatre platform for showing their choreography – performances and creations, dramatic dance and shows competing for prizes in various categories: (classic dance, modern dance, jazz-hip hop, folk, Latino dance, choreography, dramatic dance, pedagogy, dance talents, modern talents and costumes), GRISHKO International AWARD and finally the unique crystal main prize GRAND PRIX PRAHA 2006 for the best group, which shall be awarded by a jury consisting of members of the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, Faculty of Dance, Charles University, Czech Culture, National Theatre Ballet in Prague and international members: (Stuttgart Ballet, Grand Ballet Genéve, Bolshoi Theatre Moscow, Theatre Mariinsky Saint Petersburg).

Festival – the contest is open to private and amateur dance schools, groups and institutions without age limitation, as the purpose of the festival is to provide all participants with a unique opportunity of experiences charged with emotions in the magical atmosphere of this beautiful city in an ambience of art and friendship among all those who live on love of dance and believe in joy the dance art offers.

390 groups among schools, organisations, artistic associations and dance universities from all over the world, 4200 dancers, 910 choreographies participated in past festivals, presented their choreographic and artistic creativity and many of them with enthusiasm celebrated again after a number of years new success after their return to our magical capital city and our festival with many new ideas, again ready to meet and measure up with new friends and dancers. During the big international dance festival when all participants presented their cultures in front of a warm-hearted audience and official representatives of guest country embassies at a festival, which in its NEW FORM takes place, inter alia, under the sponsorship of the Italian Embassy, Japanese Embassy, in co-operation with the Prague National Theatre Ballet, the City of Prague and the general partner – the GRISHKO L.t.d. - Dance Wear Company, a leader in the field.

We realise the importance and honour your participation: our organisation created a careful artistic and cultural and tourist programme, within the frame of which you will be provided maximum and careful assistance of our colleagues (interpreters – guides with extensive experience from previous years) and technical support staff.

Moreover, this artistic event of ours is the only original international meeting organised by a unique team of professionals who respect true lovers of the dance art, as „without authenticity there is no point in dancing„.

We are looking forward to seeing you and your artistic work in the heart of Europe, in the unique atmosphere of Prague.

DEAR FRIENDS AND ALL DANCERS, STUDENTS AND TEACHERS,

Let me invite you once again to be a part of our NEW PRAGUE DANCE FESTIVAL COMPETITION & WORKSHOP (from 1.7. to 7.7. 2007) in Prague and to spend wonderful moments together with other dancers and friends in the Golden capital – Prague.

The price is 489 euro/person and we offer discounts for bigger groups (the leader of each group is free of charge and also every 21st participant of the group doesn´t have to pay!). In the price there is included all the best what Prague can offer: sightseeing, trips, cruise on the Vltava river on boat, visit to the Prague´s Castle, masterclass – workshop every day, shopping, possible visit to the galleries or other places of your interest and many other interesting things…

And of course the possibility to rehears and perform in front of the audience and the jury!

Prague is a culture center and each person can enjoy this amazing atmosphere together with the family members, friends or simply with the other dancers and their accompanying people.

The last evening we will award the prizes in many categories and all participants will enjoy it all together in a special place, where all of us will have a festive dinner and will make a promise to continue in this beautiful tradition.

Each culture consists of various aspects, which mutually seek and meet each other, and multiply on the theatre scene without borders! We sincerely hope, our dance festival – contest is this case. It is an original and unique cultural event in the area of amateur – non-professional dance in the heart of Europe!
